Nice breakdown of that lick John. Texas Flood is what I think of when first when discussing SRV. New Strat sounds great. Love that butterscotch color. SRV had one in a very similar color. Very fitting first demo for your New Strat.
Your comments on execution of the notes over speed was appreciated. I constantly remind myself that speed comes with practice over time. Speed without note execution delivers disappointing sound.
