In the next installment of my Artist Solos Series we’re going to take a look at the late great Freddie King. Freddie has always been one of my favorite guitarists and was a big influence on Eric Clapton. His wild bending style combined with an aggressive but smooth way of improvising the blues has made him one of the most imitated blues legends around.
In this solo I tried to capture the essence of what I like about Freddie King. I decided to create a solo in the style of Someday After A While while combining some licks that I really like from Have You Ever Loved a Woman.
