Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Review Part 2

Previously, I put out a video about the Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster using Open G Tuning and playing mostly slide guitar. In this video I want to show you what this very inexpensive guitar sounds like playing standard blues guitar. It really is in my opinion the best sounding and playing guitar in this price range. It is not a perfect guitar, but at this price you can get all the tele sounds that you need. A regular tele made in america will set you back around $1000. I got this one for $299 and to me it sounds unbelievable with no mods.

I’ll let you be the judge though. Listen to the video and let me know how you think it sounds.

You can check out this guitar at Amazon. This is an affiliate link so I’ll make a few dollars if you click the link and end up purchasing the guitar. Fender Classic Vibe 50’s Telecaster

  1. Couldn’t agree with you more. I have this guitar and love playing it. Also have other fender teles but for the price, this one take it. Thanks for the review. Well done!

  2. Speaking of which, I have got myself the Squier Deluxe Strat with Duncan-designed Hot Rails pickups, which comes at a similar price and so far hasn’t failed to inspire me :-)
The Hot Rails have an awesome sound, and there’s three of them, so you have more possibilities. But I must admit that I was (and still am!) also very tempted by the Telecaster… ;-)

  3. Hi John,
I love the squires, had about 4 of them and they have all been great value for money.
That tele your playing is currently on my watch list.
    cheers and great playing.

  4. Wow John ! You are a master. Apart from the skill – total control of every step, movement and nuance, you play with a genuine passion that is overwhelming. Man and instrument melded as one. Real Art that blows me away. Hopefully my Squier CV will eventually edge towards what you have accomplished. Thank you.

  5. Had to take your advice, and ordered one. Next on my list is the Fender Pawnshop Special Excelsior Pro. Further proof that expensive gear does not make the guitar player! Thanks again for all of your wonderful tips!
