    Blues Guitar 6 DVD

This is just one of several of John’s DVD sets I have purchased. This is a great DVD set for anyone who has a desire to learn blues guitar. I have currently completed 4 of the DVD courses and I can not believe how my level of playing has improved. This is a great DVD set for anyone wanting to learn to play the blues and is a great foundation for rock and jazz guitar.

Finally, the Guitar instructional series that makes sense

Okay, right off the bat, these DVD’s are not slick, overproduced pieces of eye candy short on content and long on the ego of the presenter. John Tuggle is a strong player who capably explains how to get the most out of your guitar playing. The various sections in each DVD are laid out in a progression that allows you to build based on your experience. I especially like the review section where John explains how to practice what you have learned in clear straight forward language. I have been playing for almost 10 years and was stalled and frustrated until I got these DVD’s. I feel the approach John takes makes practicing fun and learning guitar interesting once again. I highly recommend them.

    Allman Brothers

I ordered the Allman Brothers lessons and man they are dead on. Stormy Monday, Statesboro Blues and One Way Out. Every note, pause and phrasing is spot on and John breaks it down so slow and simple it’s just amazing. I never thought I could play like that but he is giving me stuff I would NEVER have figured out on my own. I recommend his DVD’s to guitarist of any level. You won’t be disappointed.

    Blues Metode

Hi Everybody About 2 months ago, I bought John’s blues lessons. I am a beginner blues lead guitar player and man, i improved so much since then. I try to spend at least one hour everyday (more if i can) on his lessons. I really notice so much difference!!! Even my friends :) I don’t think this is a beginner course, but this guy will bring you to the next level.. (and the gazilion more levels on the journey thats called guitar playing..). I bought a lot of different guitar teaching dvd’s, lessons and more, but these ones are the only ones I use. Just buy them, you really wont be disappointed. From Holland with love

    Blues Guitar DVD Course

I have been playing guitar for about 2 years now with low to moderate success. I have taken private lessons with multiple instructors and have bought numerous dvd’s and books. While, taking these lessons in the past I learned pentatonic scales and played them all right I guess. But the funny thing was I did not know why they were called pentatonic scales, or what were the ultimate reasons for the instruction. It took one lesson and I have learned the fret board with relative ease. The money I have spent in the past and no one explained basic music theory, wow! I am only through lesson two so I can’t review beyond that but I have watched the tone video and have learned many things on basic blues guitar set-up. I am no talent, nonetheless, I enjoy hacking my way around the guitar and I appreciate someone who I understand. I highly recommend the instruction. The few draw backs are the video quality in the beginning lessons (I purchased the downloadable version) and I wish there were technical instruction on such issues as string muting technique and picking technique perhaps.

    The Real Deal!

Great lessons! I’ve resumed playing after many years and I noticed I was getting into some old bad habits. I tried other guitar lessons on DVD but the instructors either spent too much time on irrelevant things or were just showing off their own talents without regard for the viewer. Working with John’s lessons are like having a private teacher who knows what it takes to transfer his knowledge to you. He stresses practice, practice, practice but shows you the right stuff to practice and I have gotten so much better through these DVDs. Highly recommended.

Hey John. I just want to say thank you for such an informative, detailed and well planned training guide to Blues Guitar. The product I was looking for

Very were built, this DVD bundle is loaded with exercises, licks and advices that are immediately applicable to any song you play. Everything is well explained and well supported by pdf tabs. I particularly love the backing tracks that allow me to practice, but also have fun improvising. Hours, and hours, and hours of fun. Thumbs up!

It gave me the kick in butt I needed.

I needed something to give me a jump start on my soloing. I was playing the same licks over and over, just in different keys. I’m almost done with Method 2 and my speed is up, my licks are smoother, cleaner. I’ve taken bits and pieces of the licks shown and added them to my old stuff and gives it a “fresh” feel. I wasn’t sure that this course was for me, cause I’ve been playing for 14 years and didn’t want to go thru a bunch of material on “here’s a minor pent scale”, etc for half the entire course. It doesn’t. If you already know your scales you can jump right into the meat and potatoes. This has been great. But, you’ve got to spend the time practicing what John shows you to get better.

Blues Guitar Method 6 DVD course

I liked this product very much, I have had some experience with the pentatonic scale so that part went quickly. Lesson three is very challenging but you have to stay with it. I’ve only got as far as the 5th lick, but I have them memerized and am working on the speed. I forgot to mention I am 65 yrs. old been playing quite a while but have never been that fast of a player. I don’t want to rush, I want to make sure I have all 10 licks down before I try to attempt the solo in lesson 4. THE only problem I had is moving between licks you can’t just jump from on lick to another, you have use the FF or RW. Other than that I am enjoying this course very much. I have only been at it for a few weeks and have learned a lot. l will most likely spend another mth. on the first DVD. Buy it , you wun’t be sorry. Mike

    Blues Guitar DVD Course

100% Satisfied. I have been playing and taking guitar lessons for 15+ years and have been frusterated with music store type guitar lessons and my playing not improving much. This course packs tons of USEFUL information in each DVD and tells exactly how to incorporate it into your own style as oppsed to just lerning note for note riffs. After the first few DVD’s, things seemed to make more “sense” and I was able to immediatley apply it to my own playing. I am planning on purchasing more of John’s DVD’s in the near future. Very highly recommended.

    The Real Deal.

I have purchased many books, and online video training subscriptions. John’s technique to demonstrate is by far the best for me. Plus, I can review the material as much as I want to get it right. This training is unlocking the secrets on the fretboard that was right in front of me, just needed the right instructor to reveal the path. Chaz

    Blues Guitar Course

This course I found outstanding. I’ve been playing for several years (Mostly rock, some blues) and the course is very well presented, the tracks excellent as well as the accompanying tabs. Whats best about it is you can go back as much as you need to at your own pace. It is really helping my playing. I think you would have to pay for well over a year for private lessons to get what you do in this course. It’s a great value – get it….!!!

    Great Lessons

I have bought some DVD lessons from other places before. All they did was just to show off how fast they play without actually teaching the mechanics of playing. Unlike this DVD set, all I can say is that I have more confidence in my playing and solos of other people actually make sense in a way that I can understan it more now. And my level of playing really improved. All you need is to set some time to figure things out and practice… Good work on this John. Cant wait to finish this set and maybe pick up slide guitar. More power to you.

    After 48 years…

Location: Born and raised in Boise, Idaho. Have been a music freak from the age of 3 or 4. Older Sister listened to Elvis, Everly Brothers…on and on.that was

I started this journey 48 years ago ( ! ) at the age of 14. I play by ear…have had a lot of good guitar players lend me a hand…My ears and the players brought me along ways, but there I sat.My wife bought me Ronny Earls video lasson, and that helped me alot with phrases, ect. But I could never gain that extra ” thing…edge ” whatever. I was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago, Im in remission now…and retired. I started searching the net for lessons or U tube or something to try and move forward. If there was one thing I wanted from this opertunity, playing was it. Nothing but time…no work or young family to focus on. Thats when I ran into John Tuggle! I liked his personnality as a teacher…no bs…just some truth! I started back at the beginning…with the scales! I was serious. I still am. I have barely got to disc 2, just working on every thing…really! It is formated very well, presentaion is great, If I could change anything, it would be the ability to be able to repeat any segment, one point at a time….but then again its probably there, Im just a inforamationally challenged. Graet Tool!!!

A must video course have for leaning blues guitar

John, I bought your Blues Guitar 6 DVD Course a couple of months ago and I have been thrilled with my purchase. I have been playing guitar for a very long time. Perhaps I should say I have been playing the same things over and over for a very long time. About 8 months ago I committed myself to learning blues guitar. I looked at many of the online blues guitar websites but yours is the best. Your instructional videos are just what I need to keep me motivated and learning. I find your lessons are presented in a format that I can understand. Once again your 6 DVD Blues Guitar course has been fantastic. I practice almost every day and look forward to each lesson and the opportunity to learn something new. I have used your video lessons for a couple of months and have still not finished all of the lessons because there is just so much useful information. Thank you for your work. I know that there are many others like me that really appreciate the effort that you put into your videos.

many thanks for your request for review.I am a slow learner and I find John goes quickly through the topics so I have to keep review them to get the best out of them.Nevertheless Iam enjoying the dvds and not rushing the course and feel I have got a lot of benefit from them.

    hard, but worth it

I’ve been playing for about 9 years now, mostle fingerstyle acoustic, but about a year ago I started on electric.
I bought the 6-dvd-pack and have to say that it is definitely not a beginner course. I would even say it is not even an intermediate, but that depends on how much you practice. John goes over the topics very fast, but remains clear about what he is doing. It is definitely worth the money, if you are willing to work hard.
I also bought the recent Clapton-series. In these lessons John goes slower and plays them along the tabs to the licks, which is very helpful.
Both courses are worth every penny as I’m certain my learning-curve has gotten a lot steeper!

    Blues Guitar DVD Course

Well done my man. Like most others have said, and I’ll paraphrase here, “I’ve purchase other materiel, too which I have another name for, that has not brought so far in such a quick time.” This course is pure Magic. To those readings this, if you want to learn to play and understand, get this course. It has truly change my guitar world to gold/fun/more fun.etc.
PS. I really can’t put my guitar down now. It is the first thing I go to in the morning, after work, eating breakfast, on the phone, (they hate it) I love it. Talking to my wife. Seems that it is with me all the time. Yup, it is around my neck right now.
