Great overview of how to go about soloing over whipping post and liz reed
THe product helped alot. It provided me with the theory and licks to go about soloing over the tracks. The backing tracks were also quality tracks. Also helped me with figuring how a modal chord progression works. Cheers!
Dickey Betts Lessons
These lessons are so much more rewarding than just learning the tab to a fav song. They are such a valuable guide to our own originality and to understanding the work of Dickey Betts who may just be my favorite guitarist. By the way I really liked the "Improvising over Blue sky" video from the other set - very inspiring. These arent easy lessons and I have to do a fair bit of work to make my way through them - but it is fun and well worth it. My only request is that you add the rhythm tab and chords along with the backing track - it would be helpful to be able to smoothly play through that before soloing over it. cheers wilms
Whipping Post - Liz Reed Lesson
This is an excellent lesson, that helped me better understand when, how, and why you use different scales and why they sound good when they are used together. The two backing tracks are an excellent choice for the purpose of practicing scales, whether developing licks or getting familiar with scales. Thanks John!
