A must video course have for leaning blues guitar

John, I bought your Blues Guitar 6 DVD Course a couple of months ago and I have been thrilled with my purchase. I have been playing guitar for a very long time. Perhaps I should say I have been playing the same things over and over for a very long time. About 8 months ago I committed myself to learning blues guitar. I looked at many of the online blues guitar websites but yours is the best. Your instructional videos are just what I need to keep me motivated and learning. I find your lessons are presented in a format that I can understand. Once again your 6 DVD Blues Guitar course has been fantastic. I practice almost every day and look forward to each lesson and the opportunity to learn something new. I have used your video lessons for a couple of months and have still not finished all of the lessons because there is just so much useful information. Thank you for your work. I know that there are many others like me that really appreciate the effort that you put into your videos.

    After 48 years…

Apr 29, 2011 by Mike- Blues student 4 life
Location: Born and raised in Boise, Idaho. Have been a music freak from the age of 3 or 4. Older Sister listened to Elvis, Everly Brothers...on and on.that was

I started this journey 48 years ago ( ! ) at the age of 14. I play by ear...have had a lot of good guitar players lend me a hand...My ears and the players brought me along ways, but there I sat.My wife bought me Ronny Earls video lasson, and that helped me alot with phrases, ect. But I could never gain that extra " thing...edge " whatever. I was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago, Im in remission now...and retired. I started searching the net for lessons or U tube or something to try and move forward. If there was one thing I wanted from this opertunity, playing was it. Nothing but time...no work or young family to focus on. Thats when I ran into John Tuggle! I liked his personnality as a teacher...no bs...just some truth! I started back at the beginning...with the scales! I was serious. I still am. I have barely got to disc 2, just working on every thing...really! It is formated very well, presentaion is great, If I could change anything, it would be the ability to be able to repeat any segment, one point at a time....but then again its probably there, Im just a inforamationally challenged. Graet Tool!!!

    Great Lessons

I have bought some DVD lessons from other places before. All they did was just to show off how fast they play without actually teaching the mechanics of playing. Unlike this DVD set, all I can say is that I have more confidence in my playing and solos of other people actually make sense in a way that I can understan it more now. And my level of playing really improved. All you need is to set some time to figure things out and practice... Good work on this John. Cant wait to finish this set and maybe pick up slide guitar. More power to you.

    Blues Guitar Course

This course I found outstanding. I've been playing for several years (Mostly rock, some blues) and the course is very well presented, the tracks excellent as well as the accompanying tabs. Whats best about it is you can go back as much as you need to at your own pace. It is really helping my playing. I think you would have to pay for well over a year for private lessons to get what you do in this course. It's a great value - get it....!!!

    The Real Deal.

I have purchased many books, and online video training subscriptions. John's technique to demonstrate is by far the best for me. Plus, I can review the material as much as I want to get it right. This training is unlocking the secrets on the fretboard that was right in front of me, just needed the right instructor to reveal the path. Chaz

    Blues Guitar DVD Course

100% Satisfied. I have been playing and taking guitar lessons for 15+ years and have been frusterated with music store type guitar lessons and my playing not improving much. This course packs tons of USEFUL information in each DVD and tells exactly how to incorporate it into your own style as oppsed to just lerning note for note riffs. After the first few DVD's, things seemed to make more "sense" and I was able to immediatley apply it to my own playing. I am planning on purchasing more of John's DVD's in the near future. Very highly recommended.

Blues Guitar Method 6 DVD course

Sep 01, 2010 by Feb or red

I liked this product very much, I have had some experience with the pentatonic scale so that part went quickly. Lesson three is very challenging but you have to stay with it. I've only got as far as the 5th lick, but I have them memerized and am working on the speed. I forgot to mention I am 65 yrs. old been playing quite a while but have never been that fast of a player. I don't want to rush, I want to make sure I have all 10 licks down before I try to attempt the solo in lesson 4. THE only problem I had is moving between licks you can't just jump from on lick to another, you have use the FF or RW. Other than that I am enjoying this course very much. I have only been at it for a few weeks and have learned a lot. l will most likely spend another mth. on the first DVD. Buy it , you wun't be sorry. Mike

It gave me the kick in butt I needed.

I needed something to give me a jump start on my soloing. I was playing the same licks over and over, just in different keys. I'm almost done with Method 2 and my speed is up, my licks are smoother, cleaner. I've taken bits and pieces of the licks shown and added them to my old stuff and gives it a "fresh" feel. I wasn't sure that this course was for me, cause I've been playing for 14 years and didn't want to go thru a bunch of material on "here's a minor pent scale", etc for half the entire course. It doesn't. If you already know your scales you can jump right into the meat and potatoes. This has been great. But, you've got to spend the time practicing what John shows you to get better.
